Solar power is the most extensive energy source in whole world. Rising concerns about using fossil fuels and watery source of countries has made solar power plant contraction to be one of major projects in developed countries. In solar power plant solar energy is converted to electricity by using special panels. The phenomenon that made this conversion possible is called “photovoltaic”
Iran has High potential in producing electricity by using solar power. Iran is place between 25 to 40 degrees northern latitude and get 1800 to 2200 kwh/m^2 solar energy annually. %75 of days in a year are sunny that is a significant number and sunny days occur much mostly in Yazd, Kerman, Semnan and Isfahan provinces. Now only 10% of electricity is provided by new energies that is low in contrast to iran’s potential of new energies and it’s a necessity to invest on contracting solar plants to produce electricity with less pollution and cost. Iran’s capacity of 60,000 MW has been approved.
Due to high electricity consumption specially in summer, it has been predicted that an annually 5200MW raise in country’s electricity capacity is needed. With limited fossil and watery sources in the state and concerns about environmental pollution of using fossil fuels, investing on extending new energy power plants like solar or wind power plant is getting more important.
Due to the presence of AMAYESH RAH MIHAN company’s director in iran’s biggest EPC contractor of power plants “FARAB” and getting much experience in mining industries, ARAMICO has been gained technical knowledge of contracting power plant by establishing ARAMICO-Hydrochina consortium.
